Caracoles Festival, Samal
Caracoles de Samal is a festivity of the bounties of the sea and the richness of the social and cultural heritage of the island. The celebration is usually done in the 28th to 29th of April.

This is to promote bats as friendly creatures and appreciate the Monfort Conservation Park as the home of the largest population of Rousette fruit bat which now houses about 2 million in number.

Kabasan Festival - municipality of Babak, Samal, May 22-28
Kabasan Festival has evolved into one of Samal Island’s biggest festivals celebrating the spectacles and splendors of the Island City. Kabasan Festival usually a six-day celebration starting on May 23 and culminating on May 28, with the so much activities that made the celebration really festive and colorful.

Hugyaw Samal, Samal, August 29
An attempt to preserve the Sama culture which is gradually diminishing. It is the latest addition to the Island City’s four festivals being celebrated in different times during the year.

Pangapog Festival, Samal, first weekend of August
Thanksgiving festival to Magbabaya (Sama God) for a bountiful harvest and overflowing blessing. At the culmination of the Pangapog Festival is the Sayaw-sayaw sa Dan (Mardi Gras) dancing to the beat of the local Sama Dancers.

Igacos Festival, Samal, March 7
Samalenos founding Anniversary. A 3-day festivity highlights sand sculpture competition, fluvial parade of colorful boats, Banca Race, beach volleyball, and mountain biking tour, among others. The merry-making is accentuated with the colorful Stilts Mascot Competition.
