The Gota Beach has white, powdery sand with crystal clear and pristine blue waters. You can do island hopping because of the nearby islands like Lahuy, Bitanglaya and others. Gota Beach is located in Caramoan Peninsula and was developed by the provincial government under Governor Luis Raymund Villafuerte. In this site, the Frence edition of the popular TV series “Survivor” was filmed and will be aired soon in Europe. The filming of the Frence Edition “Survivor” will promote Caramoan will promote in Europe and International market thus will boast up tourism in this province.

Since the province of Camarines Sur is already known because of the Camarines Sur water Sports Complex and the butanding of Donsol with this newest tourist spot the Gota Beach in Caramoan, Secretary Ace Durano said that these tourist destinations must be cluster and organize in one tour package to maximize tourism in the region. Since 2006, Camarines Sur became a prime tourist destination in the Philippines because of the aggressive tourism development under Governor Villafuerte. Since then, tourist arrivals in the province jumped by 41% in 2007 based on the Department of Tourism report compared to the number of visitors to the province in 2006. In 2006, there are 456,911 tourist who visited the province, In this figure, 411,285 where locals and 45,626 where foreigners. In the latest statistics report of the DOT showed that there were 897,680 tourist who visited the region last year which has increased by 41% from 2006’s record of 637,127. Of the total number of arrivals, 792,072 were local tourists and 105,608 were foreigners. The biggest contributor of tourist arrivals in the region is the Camarines Sur Water Sports Complex in Pili town.
